  • Teller - Downtown Branch (Full-time)

    If you consider yourself upbeat and a team player, working as a teller may be an ideal place to start your career.

    First State Bank & Trust is seeking a full time teller that will provide excellent customer service while efficiently and accurately processing transactions, handling currency, and accepting payments. This position plays an essential role in finding the right solutions to meet customers' needs. Other responsibilities include:

    • Verifying signatures and identification of individuals and balances before paying out any monies.
    • Balancing individual cash drawer.
    • Explaining and promoting products and services such as new accounts, online banking, mobile banking, bill pay and e-statements.
    • Completing other duties when assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma (or equivalent).
    • Prior banking experience and/or cash handling experience preferred, but willing to train successful candidates.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail required.
    • Basic computer and general math skills are a must.
    • Strong communication skills; verbal/written.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Ability to be flexible as needed.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

    Other Requirements:

    • May be responsible for opening or closing the branch office.
    • Professional image must be displayed at all times.
    • May be asked to learn to open new accounts once a mastery of teller skills has been demonstrated.
    • Background screening and drug testing are required.

    Hours:
    Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and rotating Saturdays 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

    This opening is 40 hours per week.

  • Teller - Parkview (Part-time)

    • Providing excellent customer service
    • Playing an essential role in finding the right solutions for customers
    • Greeting customers and making them feel welcome
    • Processing transactions for customers
    • Recommending additional products and services to meet customers’ needs
    • Balancing a cash drawer

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma (or equivalent).
    • Strong communication skills; verbal/written.
    • Basic computer and general math skills are a must.
    • Sales and money handling experience is helpful.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Ability to be flexible as needed.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

    Schedule: Monday – Friday 2-6 p.m. and every Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. Some additional hours may be available. Summer hours are full time and require flexibility.

  • Teller – Walmart Branch (Part-time)

    • Processing transactions for customers
    • Recommending additional products and services to meet customers’ needs
